Muskegon Heights High School News Submitted by Alumni

October 26, 2014 by Helen Gust Selee (Register to contact)

My mother quit school in her senior year with only 3 or 4 months left to graduate. That summer she got married and started her family. After I was born (I was the 4th child)she went back to school and finished, and graduated in 1938. At that time they required it to be actual, physical attendance. Since we lived on the Muskegon/Ottawa county line, I was allowed to go to MHHS and graduated in 1954. She and I were the only ones in our family (of 8) to graduate.
